Handmade by master jewelry designer Greta Kessler, this one-of-a-kind necklace features a turquoise heart pendant, beads of turquoise, agate, glass and Sterling silver. Notice the exquisite craftsmanship on the necklace including the Sterling silver clasp and the bead above the heart pendant featuring
traditional silversmithing techniques which are very labor
intensive. Many techniques and patterns have been passed down from
generation to generation, and new elements continue to be added
as the
modern silversmiths hone their skills. To create a piece, the
artist
applies granulation (silver dots) and wires in detailed patterns
that
are further enhanced by an oxidation process. It is 22" long with a 3 1/2" drop for the turquoise heart pendant.
