The CADEAUX du MONDE Story
CADEAUX du MONDE, founded in Newport, RI in 1987, is an award winning online eclectic, green, fair trade, international folk art gallery featuring wearable and decorative art and handcraft from developing nations in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and the South Pacific formerly located in the Anna Pell House at 26 Mary Street, Newport, RI. “Galerie Escalier”, the staircase gallery at CADEAUX du MONDE, featured rotating exhibits of local artists’ works. We are continuing that tradition by having an online "Galerie Escalier" showcasing original artwork by New England artists.
CADEAUX du MONDE staff is available to present our ever popular hands-on multi-cultural workshops to students of all ages on the following areas of the world: West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and Central America. Recent workshops have included an exclusive program on International Folk Art presented to the ELS Students at Roger Williams University.
Our latest expansion is providing small business and social media workshops and consulting with staff available for private lessons, group workshops and social media management.
