Antique Copper Indian Dowry Pot

Indian Craftsperson

Handcrafted in India by expert metal craftsmen of heavy gauge burnished and decoratively etched copper, this antique dowry pot was included as part of the new bride's dowry--the tradition whereby property and money is sent, along with the new bride by her family, to the new husband. The pot is 14" long, 14" wide and 16" high and weighs 17 pounds.
